Lucid Air Grand Touring Range Record Set in Extreme NAF Winter Test

On January 29, Lucid Group announced that a Lucid Air Grand Touring covered a distance of 520 km during the coldest NAF Winter Test ever recorded, with temperatures dropping to -31 degrees Celsius, securing victory in this year’s Norges Automobil-Forbund Winter Test “El Prix.” The result underlined the Lucid Air Grand Touring range record in real-world winter driving.

NAF Winter Test Confirms Real-World Cold Weather Performance

The journey continued until the vehicle could no longer maintain the posted speed limit and was completed without any charging stops. The route ran from Oslo through Norway’s countryside, simulating demanding winter driving conditions that closely reflect real customer usage.
A total of 24 vehicles participated in this year’s NAF Winter Test, making competition intense. The next closest competitor managed a range of 421 km, highlighting a significant performance gap under identical conditions and reinforcing the relevance of standardized winter range testing.

Advanced Electric Powertrain and Charging Capability

With a nominal WLTP range of up to 960 km and a combined consumption of 13.5 kWh/100 km, the Lucid Air Grand Touring showcases an advanced proprietary electric powertrain designed for efficiency and sustained output in extreme environments.

Performance, Efficiency, and Fast Charging

The powertrain delivers 611 kW (831 PS), enabling a top speed of 270 kmh while maintaining efficiency-focused calibration. Fast-charging capability allows the battery to gain up to 400 km of range in just 16 minutes, supporting long-distance usability even in challenging climates.
In summer 2025, the Lucid Air Grand Touring had already demonstrated its efficiency by setting a new range record at the NAF Summer Test, achieving 828.6 km and surpassing the previous record of 672 km established in 2023, further strengthening its position across both seasonal extremes.
