Dongwon Autopart Technology U.S. Investment: USD 30 Million Georgia Manufacturing Expansion

On February 4, Dongwon Autopart Technology confirmed a USD 30 million investment aimed at setting up a new manufacturing facility in Emanuel County, Georgia, representing an important milestone in the company’s expansion strategy within the United States. The Dongwon Autopart Technology U.S. investment is projected to result in the creation of 200 new jobs as production activities ramp up over the coming years.

Expansion of U.S. Manufacturing Footprint

The South Korean automotive parts supplier produces essential structural components such as doorframes, seat frames, and battery frames for automotive OEMs. The upcoming manufacturing site will be developed at the Hwy 297 Industrial Park near Swainsboro and is expected to commence recruitment activities in 2026, underlining the company’s sustained focus on strengthening domestic manufacturing operations.

Strategic Location and Job Creation

Emanuel County was chosen to enable streamlined logistics operations and access to an available skilled workforce as the company expands its automotive parts manufacturing presence across the USA. The proposed hiring plans correspond with growing demand for domestically manufactured vehicle components throughout the U.S. automotive industry.

Existing Operations and Regional Impact

Established in 1971, Dongwon Autopart Technology currently runs a manufacturing facility in Hogansville, Georgia, which will continue operating alongside the new Emanuel County plant. This Georgia auto supplier expansion marks the company’s second manufacturing location within the state.
The new Emanuel County facility will further strengthen the company’s regional presence by building upon more than 500 direct jobs already supported across the Southeastern United States, enhancing local manufacturing capacity while meeting the evolving requirements of automotive OEM customers.
