BYD launches new EV models in Egypt with Dolphin Surf and Sealion 6 range

On February 4, multiple sources reported that BYD launches new EV models in Egypt through its official brand agent, ManDream. The company introduced the BYD Dolphin Surf and the BYD Sealion 6 EV, strengthening its electric vehicle presence in the Egyptian market while addressing growing demand for efficient mobility solutions.

Electric vehicle lineup expansion

The BYD Dolphin Surf is positioned as a compact electric option, delivering an electric driving range of up to 300 kilometers. Meanwhile, the BYD Sealion 6 EV offers an extended driving range of up to 420 kilometers, targeting customers seeking higher-range electric vehicles for daily and longer-distance use.

Hybrid offerings and drivetrain options

Sealion 6 DMi-Ultra performance details

In the hybrid category, BYD presented the Sealion 6 DMi-Ultra model, which delivers a combined driving range of up to 1000 kilometers. The model supports an electric-only range of 80 kilometers in EV mode, supporting low-emission urban driving.

Luxury trims and configurations

The Sealion 6 DMi Luxury trims were also introduced, offering both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, allowing customers to choose based on performance and driving preference.
