On February 4, Melexis announced the launch of 19 new products in 2025, reinforcing its focus on Melexis automotive sensors and advanced semiconductor solutions for next-generation vehicles. The newly introduced portfolio addresses critical automotive requirements such as precision, efficiency, and reliability, while supporting the industry’s transition toward software-defined and electrified vehicle platforms.

Expansion of sensing and control technologies

Among the new offerings, Melexis introduced an inductive position sensor engineered for advanced automotive use cases. The solution is designed to meet the demands of modern steering and braking systems, including steer-by-wire implementations, where accuracy, robustness, and functional safety are essential for vehicle control.

Applications in steering and braking systems

The inductive position sensor is well-suited for integration into safety-critical environments. Its design supports precise position measurement in harsh automotive conditions, making it relevant for next-generation steering architectures and braking applications that require consistent performance across the vehicle lifecycle.

New product lines supporting high-voltage systems

Melexis also introduced a new product line focused on protective devices, leveraging its established expertise in motor control and current sensing. As part of this expansion, the company unveiled an integrated snubber solution that protects and optimizes the operation of silicon carbide power modules used in automotive and industrial high-voltage applications.

The integrated snubber is designed to enhance system efficiency and durability by mitigating voltage stress on SiC power modules. By improving protection and performance, the solution contributes to extended driving range and improved reliability in high-voltage power electronics used across electrified vehicle platforms. Beyond power and sensing technologies, Melexis continues to advance automotive ambient lighting with the introduction of a code-free driver, simplifying implementation while enabling flexible lighting designs. This approach supports faster development cycles and greater design freedom for vehicle manufacturers. Automotive applications remained the company’s primary revenue driver, accounting for 89% of total sales in the fourth quarter of 2025 and 88% of total sales for the full year. This sales mix highlights Melexis’s continued alignment with automotive market demand and its strategic emphasis on delivering scalable semiconductor solutions for future mobility platforms.
