The existing plant in Rohtak, Haryana, will be expanded with an investment of approximately JPY 16 billion. The expansion will cover around 24,000 square meters and will be dedicated to the production of continuously variable transmissions, supporting higher volumes and improved local sourcing.New Sambhajinagar plant to support automatic transmissions
AISIN will also establish a new plant in Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, with an investment of approximately JPY 16 billion. Spanning nearly 86,000 square meters, the facility will manufacture automatic transmissions along with body products, broadening the company’s manufacturing footprint in western India. Both the expanded Rohtak facility and the new Sambhajinagar plant are scheduled to begin operations in 2029, reinforcing AISIN investment India as a long-term commitment to localized automotive transmission manufacturing and sustained growth in the Indian market.
