IVECO Daily Multifuel Partnership Advances Low-Emission Urban Freight in Brazil

On February 2, it was announced that Seara and IVECO confirmed a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating low-emission urban freight transport solutions in Brazil. The collaboration reflects a shared focus on sustainable logistics and aligns with growing demand for cleaner commercial vehicles in dense urban environments.

IVECO Daily Multifuel as the core of the partnership

The partnership is centered on the IVECO Daily Multifuel concept truck, which was presented in late 2025. This vehicle has been engineered to operate using multiple alternative fuels, supporting Brazil’s diverse energy landscape while addressing emissions reduction targets for urban freight operations.

Multi-fuel capability and emissions impact

The IVECO Daily Multifuel can run on natural gas, biomethane, and ethanol. Depending on the fuel selected, the truck is capable of achieving up to a 95% reduction in well-to-wheel CO2 emissions, making it a viable option for companies seeking measurable sustainability gains.
To mark the launch of the partnership, the companies introduced a demonstration refrigerated truck featuring dedicated branding. This vehicle is positioned as a practical showcase of how sustainable urban transport solutions can be implemented without compromising operational requirements such as cold-chain logistics.

Biomethane integration and logistics strategy

JBS is evaluating the potential use of biomethane produced from organic waste at its own industrial facilities to fuel the logistics fleet. This approach supports circular economy principles by converting waste into energy for urban distribution activities.
IVECO’s commercial director highlighted that the vehicle combines the strengths of Brazil’s energy matrix with the proven robustness of the Daily platform. This combination is intended to deliver reliability for daily operations while enabling a significant reduction in environmental impact for urban freight transport.
