FORVIA SE secures USD 1 billion automotive supply contracts in North America

FORVIA SE has secured automotive supply contracts valued at more than USD 1 billion through a combination of new and extended business awards from a major European automaker, reinforcing its position as a key supplier in the North American automotive market.

Scope of awarded automotive programs

The awarded programs cover a wide range of vehicle systems focused on comfort, efficiency, and sustainability. The contracts include front seat structures, foam solutions, trim covers, and complete seat assemblies engineered to improve passenger comfort while reducing overall vehicle weight.

Advanced seating and interior technologies

Beyond seating systems, the scope also includes instrument panels and door panels that integrate natural fiber materials. These components are designed to support automakers’ efforts to lower vehicle mass while advancing the use of more sustainable materials in interior applications.

Lighting systems supporting adaptive vehicle performance

The awards further extend to FORVIA HELLA’s LED headlamp modules, which enable adaptive beam shaping and high operational efficiency. These lighting solutions support improved visibility and energy performance, aligning with evolving safety and efficiency expectations in modern vehicles.

Manufacturing footprint and regional operations

Production for the awarded programs will be carried out across FORVIA’s seven manufacturing plants located in the United States and Mexico. These facilities will support the European automaker’s North American operations and ensure localized supply for the region’s vehicle programs. In North America, FORVIA employs approximately 26,000 people across 43 locations spanning Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The company generated around EUR 7 billion in regional sales in 2024, underlining the strategic importance of North America within FORVIA’s global operations and long-term growth strategy.
