On January 28, Jetour officially announced the pricing and core specifications of its new T2 plug-in hybrid SUV. The model enters the Brazilian market during its pre-sale phase, targeting buyers looking for a versatile and technology-focused hybrid SUV offering both electric efficiency and long-distance capability.

Powertrain and Hybrid Performance

The Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid SUV is powered by a PHEV system that pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged direct-injection gasoline engine delivering 135 hp with two electric motors rated at 75 kW and 90 kW. This setup produces a combined maximum torque output of 610 Nm. Power delivery is handled through a three-speed Super Hybrid transmission (3-DHT), designed to balance efficiency and performance across urban and highway driving conditions. The SUV is equipped with a 26.7-kWh battery pack, enabling an electric-only driving range of up to 75 km under Inmetro testing standards.

Dimensions, Positioning, and Market Focus

The T2 measures 4,785 mm in length, 2,006 mm in width, and 1,875 mm in height, supported by a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. These proportions position the SUV firmly within the mid-size segment, emphasizing interior space, ride comfort, and on-road presence. Jetour has positioned the model to appeal to customers seeking a balance of comfort, technology, and multi-purpose usability, particularly those transitioning from conventional combustion vehicles to electrified powertrains.

Safety Expectations and Variant Strategy

While no official safety specifications have been disclosed so far, the Jetour T2 is expected to feature a comprehensive suite of active and passive safety systems aligned with Brazilian regulatory requirements and segment standards. During the promotional pre-sale period, the Advanced variant is priced at BRL 289,900, while the Premium version is offered at BRL 299,900. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid-March. Jetour has also confirmed plans to introduce a four-wheel-drive version later in the year, which will serve as the flagship model in the T2 lineup.
