Global Production and Sales Performance
Overall manufacturing volumes benefited from stronger overseas operations, even as domestic output in Japan softened. Sales performance remained positive both within Japan and across international regions, underlining Suzuki’s balanced market presence despite supply-side challenges.
  • Global production: 3,423,403 units (+3.8% y/y)
  • Global sales: 3,295,013 units (+1.4% y/y)
  • Fifth consecutive year of production and sales growth

Overseas Manufacturing Reaches Record High
Production outside Japan climbed 8.7% year-over-year to 2,467,199 units, setting a new record for the company. The strongest contribution came from India, Suzuki’s largest market, where output expanded following the start of operations at the Kharkhoda Plant in February 2025.
Lower goods and services tax rates supported demand, helping Suzuki maintain high capacity utilization. In addition to India, sales momentum remained healthy across Africa and Pakistan, reinforcing the importance of emerging markets in Suzuki’s global strategy.
Japan Production Declines Amid Supply Constraints
In contrast, production in Japan declined 7.2% year-over-year to 956,204 units. This marked the first drop in four years, primarily due to parts supply shortages that constrained manufacturing volumes. Despite this, domestic sales still increased by 1.0% year-over-year to 728,952 units.
Regional Sales Trends
Suzuki recorded growth in sales both inside and outside Japan, supported by favorable market conditions and pricing dynamics.
  • Japan sales: 728,952 units (+1.0% y/y)
  • Strong sales performance in India supported by reduced GST rates
  • Continued demand growth across Africa and Pakistan

With overseas production at record levels and India playing a central role in volume growth, Suzuki’s 2025 performance highlights its increasing reliance on international manufacturing and emerging markets to offset challenges in its home market.
