Comau in.Grid Robot Monitoring Deployed at Iveco Valladolid

On January 28, Comau installed its Comau in.Grid Robot Monitoring platform at Iveco’s Valladolid plant in Valladolid, supporting the digitalization of two critical production lines and strengthening data-driven manufacturing operations.
The cloud-based Comau in.Grid Robot Monitoring system oversees Comau robots operating on the Door Ring and Mascherone assembly lines. It continuously gathers production data, identifies performance deviations, flags anomalies, and tracks key performance indicators, enabling faster and more informed operational decisions.
By leveraging real-time analytics, the platform helps minimize unplanned downtime, optimize maintenance planning, and improve overall equipment reliability. Historical performance data allows teams to anticipate issues before failures occur, supporting a predictive maintenance strategy aligned with smart manufacturing goals.
Comau in.Grid Robot Monitoring Across Framing and Door Lines
Comau supported the project through simultaneous engineering, covering both the Framing and Door lines to ensure seamless integration of the Comau in.Grid Robot Monitoring platform within the existing automation setup.

• The Framing line features a flexible, ring-shaped geogripper layout designed to eliminate unnecessary stations and enhance throughput.

• The Door line follows Comau’s standard table-top configuration, optimized for stable and repeatable assembly operations.

Both production lines operate with Comau robots and the Versa Pallet transport system, creating a consistent automation environment that benefits from unified monitoring and analytics.
Data-Driven Insights for Long-Term Efficiency
