Quick Takeaways
  • Xpeng X9 BEV enters pre-sales in China with up to 750 km CLTC range and advanced AI computing.
  • The electric MPV strengthens Xpeng’s BEV portfolio ahead of its 2026 expansion push.
Xpeng has started pre-sales in China for the battery electric version of the X9 MPV, following the launch of its extended-range electric variant two months earlier. The move marks a key step in expanding the company’s electric MPV lineup ahead of its broader 2026 product rollout.
The company is now accepting reservations for the 2026 seven-seat Xpeng X9 BEV, which is offered in five variants: 665 Max, 650 Ultra SE, 650 Ultra, 750 Ultra, and 710 AWD Ultra. Pre-sales pricing has not been disclosed, though customers can place orders with a RMB 2,000 deposit that converts into a RMB 7,000 purchase discount.
Xpeng X9 BEV Delivers Segment-Leading Driving Range
According to the company, the Xpeng X9 BEV is currently the longest-range pure-electric seven-seater globally, delivering a maximum CLTC-rated range of 750 km. The model is underpinned by an 800-volt electric architecture designed to support high-efficiency performance and rapid charging capability.
Energy consumption is rated at 15.9 kWh per 100 kilometers under CLTC conditions, positioning the vehicle among the most efficient electric MPVs in its class. The battery system also supports 5C supercharging, allowing for faster energy replenishment during long-distance travel.
Turing AI Chip Powers Smart Driving Capabilities
Every Xpeng X9 BEV comes standard with the company’s in-house developed Turing AI chip. The processor provides up to 2250 TOPS of effective computing power, enabling advanced intelligent driving and vehicle control functions.
While Xpeng has not disclosed detailed deployment specifics for the chip in the X9, the approach is expected to mirror recent updates across other models. Earlier this month, the company introduced the 2026 P7+ sedan, along with refreshed G6 and G9 SUVs, all equipped with a single Turing AI chip as standard, with optional upgrades to systems using up to three chips.

The 2025 X9 BEV entered the market in April 2025 with a starting price of RMB 359,800. During 2025, the X9 recorded deliveries of 26,017 units, representing 6.06 percent of Xpeng’s total annual vehicle deliveries.
Xpeng Delivery Growth and 2026 Outlook

Overseas markets contributed 45,008 units, up 96 percent from the previous year and accounting for roughly 10 percent of total deliveries, based on compiled industry data.
Company management stated during a November 17 earnings call that Xpeng plans to launch three extended-range electric models in the first quarter of 2026, followed by four additional new models over the course of the year, offered in both BEV and EREV configurations. Local media later reported that the automaker has set an internal 2026 delivery target of 550,000 to 600,000 units.
