Quick Takeaways
- SAIC-GM-Wuling Huawei smart vehicle advances toward mass production with Huajing S completing final manufacturing validation.
- SAIC-GM-Wuling and Huawei deepen intelligent vehicle collaboration ahead of the 2026 launch window.
On January 26, the Huajing S pilot vehicle, developed under the SAIC-GM-Wuling Huawei smart vehicle collaboration, officially rolled off the production line. This step confirms the completion of core technology integration and manufacturing process validation, clearing the path for user experience testing and final mass-production readiness.
The milestone reflects steady progress following the “Three Intelligences” strategic alliance formalized by SAIC-GM-Wuling and Huawei in September 2025. The partnership centers on smart manufacturing, assisted driving, and intelligent cockpit systems, with the objective of accelerating industrial innovation through deep technological integration.
Under the agreement, SAIC-GM-Wuling applies insights gained from more than 30 million users alongside its large-scale manufacturing expertise. The company leads vehicle definition, engineering development, production execution, and full-channel service deployment to ensure alignment with market and user expectations.
Huawei contributes its intelligence-driven technology capabilities, supplying core solutions for smart factories, Qiankun Intelligent Driving systems, and the HarmonyOS cockpit. These technologies jointly support the creation of an integrated smart manufacturing platform while elevating the vehicle’s overall intelligent experience.
As the first core product of the alliance, the Huajing S standardizes Huawei’s Qiankun solutions across the full model range. The vehicle integrates Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 4 Pro, the HarmonyOS cockpit, and Qiankun Vehicle Cloud, making advanced intelligent features available without optional upgrades.
From a safety perspective, the model is engineered to exceed the five-star requirements of the 2024 C-NCAP protocol. It is equipped with the Shenlian battery, which has recorded zero spontaneous combustion incidents across more than three million units sold, reinforcing reliability credentials.
The Huajing S also ranks among the first vehicles to adopt Huawei’s in-cabin laser vision (Limera) system. This technology enhances safety in complex driving scenarios, including improved detection of low-profile obstacles during nighttime conditions and reduced-visibility environments.
By December 2025, the Huajing S was officially listed on the Huawei Qiankun App, creating a direct digital bridge between manufacturing systems and end users. The vehicle is scheduled to enter the market in the first half of 2026 and is positioned as one of the earliest models that year to feature Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 4 Pro as standard equipment.
