  • Renault Group ELV recycling partnership expands regulated vehicle recovery in France
  • The Renault Group ELV recycling partnership strengthens compliance with France’s AGEC law and improves traceability of recycled automotive materials
On January 27, Renault Group formalized a strategic agreement with Derichebourg Environnement to reinforce the regulated recycling of end-of-life vehicles in France, supporting its obligations under the AGEC law. The partnership agreement was signed a day earlier on January 26, 2026, marking a significant expansion of Renault Group’s structured ELV recovery system.
The Renault Group ELV recycling partnership is built around a coordinated operating model that connects vehicle collection points with industrial recycling facilities. ELV centres are responsible for collecting, depolluting, and dismantling vehicles, while specialized recyclers process recovered materials into high-quality secondary raw materials suitable for reuse across industries.
Through this collaboration, 40 authorized ELV centres from Derichebourg’s nationwide network have been integrated into Renault Group’s Individual ELV System. This addition substantially increases the manufacturer’s regulated capacity for vehicle collection and dismantling, ensuring compliance with national recycling requirements and improving regional coverage.
To meet stringent recovery and recycling targets, 20 Derichebourg recycling facilities have also entered into contractual agreements with Renault Group. These sites use advanced sorting, shredding, and material recovery technologies designed to optimize recycling yields and support government-mandated performance thresholds.
With the inclusion of these facilities, Renault Group’s ELV recycling framework in France now encompasses close to 500 approved recycling sites. The network consists of approximately 480 ELV centres and 20 shredding facilities, operating alongside the group’s established partner ecosystem led by INDRA Automobile Recycling. This expanded structure enhances traceability, material recovery efficiency, and long-term sustainability across the automotive recycling value chain.
