India’s two-wheeler industry closed the year on a historic note, crossing the 2 crore-unit annual sales milestone. The latest India two-wheeler sales December 2025 data highlights how the country’s six largest manufacturers performed during the final month, showing a clear contrast between festive-season moderation and strong year-on-year expansion.
Hero tops India two-wheeler sales December 2025
Hero retained its leadership position with domestic sales of 4,19,243 units in December 2025. This marked a 26.52 percent decline compared to November 2025’s festive-boosted 5,70,520 units, but reflected a robust 42.53 percent increase over December 2024’s 2,94,152 units. Export volumes also improved month-on-month, rising to 37,236 units from 33,970 units.
Recently, Hero updated its sporty 160cc commuter – the Xtreme 160R 4V – with a refreshed design and a segment-first feature.
Honda records strong year-on-year growth
Honda posted December 2025 sales of 3,92,306 units. While this represented a 26.49 percent drop from November 2025’s 5,33,645 units, volumes were up 44.81 percent compared to December 2024’s 2,70,919 units. Exports softened slightly, declining from 57,491 units in November to 53,742 units in December.
Honda is working on bringing the Rebel 300 to India later this year, along with a new localised electric scooter aimed at addressing the shortcomings of its earlier electric offerings.
TVS reports balanced domestic and export performance
TVS recorded domestic sales of 3,30,362 units in December 2025, a 9.64 percent month-on-month decline from November’s 3,65,608 units. However, sales surged 53.60 percent over December 2024’s 2,15,075 units. It is important to note that TVS does not include iQube electric scooter sales in these figures.
The company exported 1,30,709 units during the month, marginally lower than the 1,32,233 units shipped in November. TVS recently introduced the Ronin Agonda Edition and is preparing to scale up deliveries of the Apache RTX 300 adventure motorcycle.
Bajaj maintains export leadership
Bajaj reported December 2025 sales of 1,32,228 units, down 34.71 percent from November’s 2,02,510 units. On a year-on-year basis, volumes edged up 3.03 percent over December 2024’s 1,28,335 units. Sales of the Chetak electric scooter are included in these figures.
Bajaj continued to lead exports, shipping 1,78,125 units in December 2025, slightly higher than the 1,77,204 units exported in November. The company has recently updated its Classic Pulsar range ahead of a planned generational update later this year.
Suzuki sees steady upward trend
Suzuki posted December 2025 sales of 97,823 units, registering a 1.52 percent increase over November 2025 and a 24.09 percent rise compared to December 2024. Export volumes dipped marginally to 24,543 units from 25,940 units in the previous month.
Suzuki is preparing an all-new Gixxer portfolio expected towards the end of 2026, while the long-awaited e-Access electric scooter is expected to launch in the coming weeks.
Royal Enfield closes the year on a high note
Royal Enfield reported December 2025 sales of 93,177 units, up 3.07 percent from November 2025 and a strong 37.24 percent increase over December 2024. Exports also improved slightly, reaching 10,397 units compared to 10,265 units in November.
Royal Enfield is likely to launch the Bullet 650 soon, and updates featuring a slip/assist clutch are expected for the Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Goan Classic 350.
