Toyota Motor Corporation Japan Production Lines to Resume After Snow Halt

On January 22, Toyota Motor Corporation announced that three production lines across its manufacturing facilities in Japan, which were suspended earlier the same day due to snowfall, will resume operations on January 23. The company confirmed that the decision follows an assessment of weather conditions affecting plant safety and logistics.
The suspension impacted facilities operated by Toyota Auto Body Co. Ltd. and Gifu Auto Body Co. Ltd., as snowfall disrupted normal manufacturing activities. Operations were paused as a precautionary measure to ensure employee safety and maintain production standards during adverse weather conditions.

• The affected plants include Toyota Auto Body Co. Ltd.’s Inabe Plant located in Inabe City, Mie Prefecture.

• The Fujimatsu Plant in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture.

• Gifu Auto Body Co. Ltd.’s plant in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture, which also halted production due to the snow-related impact.

Toyota stated that all three production lines are scheduled to restart on January 23, restoring normal manufacturing operations across the impacted facilities. The company continues to monitor weather conditions closely to minimize further disruptions and ensure stable production across its domestic manufacturing network.
