On January 19, Chery Executive Vice President Li Xueyong announced that the Chery Fengyun T9L SUV secured more than 6,000 orders within 24 hours of opening blind bookings, signaling strong early market traction for the brand’s latest large five-seat SUV.
Blind bookings for the Fengyun T9L began on January 17, with the official market launch planned for after the Spring Festival. The SUV measures 4,870 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, supported by a 2,920 mm wheelbase that delivers 1,037 mm of second-row legroom.
Chery Fengyun T9L SUV Focuses on Premium Comfort and Design
Positioned as a standout in its segment, the Chery Fengyun T9L SUV is the only model to offer dual zero-gravity front seats. Additional comfort and premium elements include Firefly ambient lighting, vertical Zither tweeters, and a 23-speaker Boya audio system designed to enhance in-cabin experience.
Visually, the Fengyun T9L follows Chery’s Eastern Book Rhyme design language. A closed front grille paired with slim headlights creates a clean yet imposing front fascia, reinforcing the SUV’s high-tech character and modern styling direction.
Aerodynamics and Exterior Details Enhance Daily Usability
The SUV can be equipped with 20-inch wheels fitted with 245/50 R20 Michelin tires, while the charging port is positioned on the left rear side. Semi-hidden door handles are used along the body sides, reducing aerodynamic drag while maintaining mechanical reliability in cold or malfunction-prone conditions.
Frameless side mirrors further enhance the vehicle’s contemporary appearance and contribute to lower wind noise, aligning with the Fengyun T9L’s premium positioning within Chery’s SUV portfolio.
Intelligent Cockpit and Advanced Driver Assistance
Inside, the Fengyun T9L adopts Chery’s latest family interior design, centered around the Lingxi cockpit system and a flagship 3nm cockpit chip. This setup supports a smoother digital interface and improved in-car responsiveness.
For intelligent driving, the Chery Fengyun T9L SUV is equipped with the Falcon 700 advanced driver-assistance system. Delivering 560 TOPS of computing power, the system supports Task Cube customization and operates on a 3nm 8678 chip to meet diverse driving scenarios.
Hybrid Powertrain Delivers Strong Performance
Powering the Fengyun T9L is Chery’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM system. The setup features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 115 kW of maximum power and 220 Nm of torque.
In the four-wheel-drive configuration, combined system output reaches 260 kW and 330 Nm, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately five seconds, reinforcing the SUV’s balance of efficiency and performance.
