MY26 Jeep Meridian Launched in India With Sliding Second-Row Seats

The MY26 Jeep Meridian has been launched in India with a practical update aimed at improving cabin flexibility. The key change is the introduction of a sliding second-row seat function on higher variants, while prices across the entire lineup remain unchanged, strengthening the SUV’s value proposition.
What’s New in the MY26 Jeep Meridian
The update is limited but meaningful. The Limited (O) and Overland trims now feature a manually adjustable second-row seat with a 60:40 split configuration. Two-thirds of the seat can slide up to 130mm, while the remaining one-third offers up to 140mm of movement, helping free up additional third-row space.
Jeep states that this enhancement addresses one of the Meridian’s most discussed limitations, especially for buyers frequently using the third row. Lower variants, including Longitude and Longitude Plus, continue without the sliding seat function.

The entry-level Longitude trim is offered exclusively as a five-seater, while all other variants come with a three-row, seven-seat layout.
MY26 Jeep Meridian Engine and Drivetrain Options
The MY26 Jeep Meridian continues with the same mechanical package. Power comes from a 2.0-litre diesel engine generating 170hp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed torque-converter automatic.
For buyers seeking enhanced traction, the automatic gearbox in Limited (O) and Overland trims is also available with an AWD configuration, maintaining the SUV’s appeal for varied driving conditions.
MY26 Jeep Meridian Features and Safety Equipment
Feature highlights remain unchanged. The SUV offers a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, a powered tailgate and a panoramic sunroof. Audio duties are handled by a 9-speaker Alpine sound system.
On the safety front, the MY26 Jeep Meridian is equipped with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS and an electronic parking brake, ensuring it stays competitive within its segment while adding improved second-row flexibility for family-focused buyers.
