Quick Takeaways
  • Foresight Autonomous V2X collision prevention expands through SoftBank validation in Japan.
  • The collaboration focuses on real-time V2X data exchange to improve road safety outcomes.
On January 20, Foresight Autonomous Holdings Ltd. announced that its majority-owned subsidiary, Eye-Net Mobile Ltd., has progressed its strategic collaboration in Japan with SoftBank Corp. to further validate Foresight Autonomous V2X collision prevention technology.
The initiative is focused on improving road safety and operational efficiency by enabling continuous, real-time exchange of location data among vehicles, pedestrians, and other road users. The system is designed to predict and prevent potential collisions by delivering early alerts based on shared situational awareness.
This development builds on the encouraging outcomes of a previously completed proof-of-concept project conducted with SoftBank. Following those results, both parties agreed to deepen their collaboration and move toward practical validation of the technology under real-world conditions.
As part of the next phase, the companies will jointly adapt the solution to align with SoftBank’s specific operational requirements. The collaboration will also evaluate the feasibility of deploying the technology across additional markets, supporting broader adoption of connected and intelligent transportation solutions.
