The Sailun Group tire manufacturing plant Indonesia is expected to play a significant role in strengthening the country’s automotive manufacturing ecosystem. The investment reinforces Indonesia’s position as a competitive production base while supporting the growing demand for locally manufactured and export-ready tires.
Operated by PT Sailun Manufacturing Indonesia, a subsidiary of Sailun International Holding, the facility has been developed as an integrated production hub. It is designed to serve both domestic requirements and the broader Asia-Pacific automotive supply chain efficiently.
Wide product portfolio and export-oriented capacity
The Demak plant will manufacture a complete range of “Made in Indonesia” tire products, covering multiple vehicle segments and applications. Planned production includes:
  • Radial tires for passenger cars (PCR)
  • Tires for trucks and buses (TBR)
  • Off-the-road (OTR) tires for specialized applications
  • Tubes and flaps to support diverse vehicle needs

At full utilization, the facility is expected to produce up to 3.6 million PCR tires, 600,000 TBR tires, and 37,000 tons of OTR tires annually. A substantial portion of this output is intended for export markets, reinforcing Indonesia’s growing role in regional and global tire supply chains.
