Skoda Auto has revealed the Skoda Kushaq facelift, opening pre-bookings ahead of a price announcement scheduled for March. The updated model introduces sharper exterior styling, a more premium cabin, additional comfort features, and an important mechanical upgrade, while retaining the core strengths that defined the original Kushaq.
The Skoda Kushaq facelift continues to compete in the highly contested midsize SUV segment against models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Victoris, and the Honda Elevate.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift Exterior and Interior Updates
On the outside, the Skoda Kushaq facelift adopts the brand’s latest Modern Solid design language. The front end now features sleeker LED headlights with eyebrow-style DRLs and distinctive L-shaped lighting elements connected by a segmented light bar across the grille, inspired by the new Kodiaq. A redesigned bumper with a sharper silver skid plate adds visual toughness.
From the side, changes are subtle, limited mainly to newly designed alloy wheels ranging from 16 to 17 inches, depending on the variant. At the rear, the facelift introduces a full-width LED light bar with illuminated ‘SKODA’ lettering and sequential turn indicators. Three new paint options have been added: Cherry Red, Shimla Green, and Steel Grey.
Inside, the cabin takes a clear step upmarket. The Prestige trim gets a black-and-beige theme, while the Monte Carlo variants feature a crimson colour scheme. The layout remains familiar, but the updates are significant:
Skoda Kushaq Facelift Features and Safety
As previously reported, the Skoda Kushaq facelift introduces a segment-first rear-seat massage function. Comfort and convenience are further enhanced through:
Technology also sees an upgrade with the integration of the Google Gemini AI assistant into the infotainment system, allowing access to news, real-time information, and hands-free control of vehicle functions.
Safety remains comprehensive, with standard features including six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control, electronic differential lock, hill-hold assist, rain-sensing wipers, ISOFIX mounts, and an auto-dimming IRVM. The Skoda Kushaq facelift also retains the 5-star Global NCAP safety rating of the outgoing model.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift Engine and Gearbox Options
The most significant mechanical update in the Skoda Kushaq facelift is the introduction of a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission for the 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 115hp. This replaces the earlier 6-speed automatic, while a 6-speed manual gearbox continues to be offered.
For buyers seeking stronger performance, the 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine delivering 150hp remains available, paired exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. A key improvement here is the addition of rear disc brakes for the 1.5 TSI variants, addressing a long-standing customer demand.
Ownership benefits include a standard 4-year/1,00,000km warranty, extendable up to six years, four years of roadside assistance, and four free labour services covering up to 2 years or 30,000km. All prices are ex-showroom, India.
