Under the enhanced partnership framework, Hyundai Motor will significantly increase its technological and personnel contributions to Beijing Hyundai. This includes opening access to core technologies related to electrification and intelligentization, areas that are central to the company’s future product strategy in China.
Hyundai Motor will also dispatch senior technical expert teams to Beijing Hyundai to deliver direct technological empowerment. These teams will support advanced vehicle development, system integration, and platform optimization, while cooperation will expand into additional high-value technical domains. As part of the agreement, Hyundai Motor plans to introduce its premium sub-brands into the Chinese market through Beijing Hyundai.
From BAIC Group’s side, the company will make its core resources available to establish a joint R&D platform. This platform will focus on collaborative innovation, localized development, and faster adaptation to Chinese market requirements, strengthening Beijing Hyundai’s competitiveness in both conventional and new-energy vehicle segments.
In terms of personnel development and marketing, BAIC Group will support Beijing Hyundai’s transition toward a more premium and localized brand positioning. The group will also provide coordinated assistance in key areas such as supply chain optimization, overseas market development beyond China, and systematic brand value enhancement.
