On January 15, Stellantis officially joined the Italian Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI4I) in Turin and the Chips-IT Foundation in Pavia, Italy. AI4I focuses on applying artificial intelligence to the real economy, while Chips-IT supports semiconductor research and innovation to strengthen Italy’s and Europe’s technological independence. The announcement was made at Palazzo Piacentini in the presence of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT).

The event brought together senior leaders from Stellantis and the presidents of AI4I and the Chips-IT Foundation. The agreement follows the Action Plan for Italy signed on December 17, 2024, between Stellantis and MIMIT, marking another concrete step in public–private cooperation focused on research and advanced technologies.

By joining these leading research institutions, Stellantis aims to accelerate its innovation footprint in Italy.
