According to Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the company’s export expansion supports the Make in India initiative. In calendar year 2025, Maruti Suzuki exported over 390,000 vehicles, retaining its position as India’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year.
Between 2020 and 2025, Maruti Suzuki’s export volumes grew by 4.67 times, significantly outperforming the broader industry growth of 1.43 times during the same period. This momentum highlights the company’s focus on scale, efficiency, and global relevance.
Global Showcase and Electric Mobility Expansion
Maruti Suzuki also re-entered the European market in 2025 with the launch of its first battery electric vehicle, the e VITARA. The VICTORIS SUV was earlier showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, where it attracted strong interest from international audiences ahead of its export rollout.
Launched in India in September 2025, VICTORIS features a modern design language, intelligent technology, and comfort-focused features aimed at younger buyers. The model was recently awarded Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2026, recognizing its engineering quality and market appeal.
