Mercedes-Benz India-made Maybach GLS officially went on sale with a starting price of Rs 2.75 crore, delivering a substantial cost advantage over the earlier fully imported version that was priced at Rs 3.17 crore. The luxury SUV is now locally assembled, helping Mercedes-Maybach improve availability, shorten waiting periods, and make its flagship more accessible to Indian buyers.
India has become the only market outside the United States to manufacture the Maybach GLS, and it is also the first time the country has entered the top five global Mercedes-Maybach markets. Local assembly is expected to support stronger volumes and faster deliveries for customers seeking the ultra-luxury SUV experience.

The Mercedes-Benz India-made Maybach GLS retains its flagship mechanical package, combining a powerful V8 with electrified assistance. The SUV is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine producing 557 hp, supported by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that adds an additional 22 hp.
