Luxeed Huawei Chery Large SUV to anchor 2026 product strategy
The Luxeed Huawei Chery Large SUV will arrive as part of a broader 2026 rollout that includes a flagship MPV, giving the brand coverage across sedans, SUVs, and MPVs. Zhao confirmed that this dual-launch approach is designed to create a balanced and competitive lineup in key vehicle segments.
Luxeed’s current range includes:
  • Luxeed S7 sedan
  • Luxeed R7 coupe-style SUV

Both models will receive annual updates, ensuring they stay competitive as the brand expands.
Luxeed Huawei Chery Large SUV supported by ADS 4.0 upgrades
Along with the new large SUV and MPV, Luxeed will refresh its existing models with Huawei’s latest intelligent driving technology. The S7 and R7 will be upgraded with Huawei ADS 4.0, featuring fully enhanced smart-driving hardware configurations designed to improve automated driving performance and safety.
These updates are aimed at ensuring that the Luxeed Huawei Chery Large SUV and its stablemates remain aligned with Huawei’s software-defined vehicle strategy.
V9 MPV becomes Luxeed’s first people-mover
Luxeed recently confirmed that its first MPV will be called the V9, marking the first MPV under Huawei’s HIMA business. The V9 has already entered China’s regulatory filing system, clearing a key step toward market entry.
The Chinese market launch of the V9 MPV is scheduled for spring, and it will serve as the brand’s flagship people-mover when the Luxeed Huawei Chery Large SUV arrives in 2026.
Long-term investment fuels Luxeed’s expansion
The product offensive follows Huawei and Chery’s August 2025 agreement to move Luxeed into its “Phase 2.0” development stage. Under this plan:
  • Investment – Over RMB 10 billion
  • R&D Workforce – 5,000 employees
  • Sales Goal – 1 million units annually by 2030

According to Zhao, 2026 will be a foundation-building year, with the Luxeed Huawei Chery Large SUV playing a central role in scaling volumes and brand recognition.
Global ambitions for the Luxeed brand
Luxeed is also preparing for overseas growth. A right-hand-drive version of the V9 MPV will be unveiled in the second half of 2026, signaling the brand’s intention to target international markets beyond China.
With a new large SUV, a flagship MPV, and continuous technology upgrades, Luxeed is positioning itself as a serious contender in the premium smart-vehicle segment backed by Huawei’s software and Chery’s manufacturing strength.
