Fangcheng S and S GT Launch in China
On September 16, Shenzhen Fangchengbao Auto Sales Co., Ltd. officially launched the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT battery-electric models in China. The Fangcheng S is offered as a sedan, while the Fangcheng S GT adopts a shooting brake body style, with both models available in rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations. The Fangcheng S has five variants priced from CNY 189,900 to CNY 229,900, while the Fangcheng S GT has four variants priced from CNY 219,900 to CNY 239,900. The launch expands the company’s battery-electric lineup with different powertrain, range, and performance configurations.
Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT Dimensions and Charging
The Shenzhen Fangchengbao Auto Sales Co Ltd Fangcheng S measures 5,060 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and 1,483/1,458 mm in height, with a 2,960 mm wheelbase. The Fangcheng S GT measures 5,025 mm in length, 1,967 mm in width, and 1,483/1,458 mm in height, also using a 2,960 mm wheelbase. Every variant of both models features the DiSus Intelligent Body Control System and BYD Flash Charging technology. The charging system enables the battery to charge from 10% to 70% state of charge (SoC) in 5 minutes and from 10% to 97% SoC in 9 minutes.
Fangcheng S Powertrain and Range
The Fangcheng S RWD variants use a permanent magnet synchronous motor producing either 245 kW or 300 kW, with a 240 km/h top speed and 0-to-100 km/h acceleration in 5.8 seconds. Depending on configuration, they use a 76.74 kWh or 92.09 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a CLTC EV-mode range of 730 km or 900 km, respectively. AWD versions combine a 190 kW AC asynchronous motor at the front with a 300 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor at the rear, producing 490 kW of combined maximum power. These versions reach 240 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, with a 92.09 kWh LFP battery and 750 km CLTC EV-mode range.
Fangcheng S GT Powertrain and Range
The Fangcheng S GT RWD variants are equipped with a 300 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, a 240 km/h top speed, and a 0-to-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.8 seconds. A 92.09 kWh LFP battery provides a CLTC EV-mode range of 850 km. The AWD versions use the same dual-motor arrangement as the Fangcheng S AWD, combining a 190 kW AC asynchronous motor at the front and a 300 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor at the rear for 490 kW of combined maximum power. These versions also have a 240 km/h top speed and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, while the 92.09 kWh LFP battery provides a 730 km CLTC EV-mode range.
Intelligent Cockpit and Driver Assistance Features
The Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT come standard with the DiLink 150 intelligent cockpit system and the DiDiXia super AI agent. Their cabin technology includes an 8.88-inch full-LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch intelligent ecosystem display, while both models support a 26-inch augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD). For intelligent driving, the models are equipped with the God’s Eye B advanced driver assistance system with LiDAR. Its supported functions include Highway Navigation on Autopilot (HNOA), City Navigation on Autopilot (CNOA), full-scenario Surrounding Reality (SR) display, and Automated Valet Parking (AVP).
Industry Impact & Outlook
The launch gives China another battery-electric sedan and shooting brake pairing that combines high-output AWD powertrains, extended CLTC range, rapid charging, and LiDAR-based driver assistance in a broad variant structure. The Fangcheng S’s 900 km CLTC range and the two models’ 5-minute 10%-to-70% charging capability place range and charging performance among the key specifications shaping their market positioning. The availability of RWD and AWD configurations also allows the lineup to address different performance requirements, while the shared intelligent cockpit and driver-assistance systems establish a common technology foundation across both models.
