AUMOVIO India has signed a memorandum of understanding with National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) to establish a vehicle testing facility at NATRAX’s premises in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The facility is expected to become operational in the fourth quarter of 2027 and will include a workshop, technical and storage areas, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The workshop will accommodate up to 15 vehicles and will support the installation and preparation of brake systems and advanced driver assistance systems before vehicles undergo testing. The development comes as the company expands its brake system projects and works to strengthen its vehicle development and testing capabilities in India.

Facility to Support Brake and Safety System Testing

The new facility will enable AUMOVIO teams to prepare and tune both internal combustion engine and electric vehicles before testing at NATRAX. Its workshop will support work on braking and vehicle safety systems, including anti-lock braking systems, electronic stability control, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. The company currently conducts vehicle testing at customer test tracks in India and uses its own facilities in other countries. Establishing dedicated infrastructure close to NATRAX’s test tracks is intended to make vehicle preparation and testing changes faster during development programs, allowing teams to modify vehicles and testing setups more efficiently as projects progress.

This setup is intended to strengthen the company’s ability to conduct development work locally rather than relying entirely on customer test tracks or facilities located outside the country.

The proximity of the planned facility to NATRAX’s test tracks is expected to support quicker adjustments to vehicles and testing configurations during development programs. Teams will be able to prepare vehicles at the workshop and move them into testing activities at the nearby tracks, supporting work across brake and safety systems. The facility will accommodate both ICE and electric vehicles, reflecting the company’s testing requirements across different propulsion types.
