Yamaha Motor India officially introduced the made-in-India Yamaha Aerox E on July 8, expanding its premium electric mobility portfolio in India. Priced at INR 281 thousand, the performance-oriented electric scooter is designed for urban riders seeking a combination of power, practicality and connected features. The Aerox E is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor that delivers 9.4 kW of peak power and 48 Nm of torque. It offers a certified riding range of 117 km and achieves a top speed of 95.5 km/h, making it suitable for daily commuting as well as longer city rides.

Performance and Battery System

The Yamaha Aerox E provides three selectable riding modes comprising Eco, Standard and Power, allowing riders to optimize efficiency or performance based on road conditions. It also features a Boost function that enables quicker acceleration when additional power is required, while the reverse mode improves convenience during parking and low-speed manoeuvres. Energy is supplied through two removable 1.5 kWh batteries rated at 30 Ah each.
