Volkswagen India has expanded its domestic portfolio with the launch of the Tayron Life SUV, introducing the model at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹41.99 lakh. The premium five-seater becomes the brand's second locally assembled vehicle introduced in the country during the current calendar year. According to Nitin Kohli, Brand Director at Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, the launch is intended to strengthen the company's position in the localized premium passenger vehicle segment while expanding its product offerings.

The SUV is developed on the company's modular vehicle architecture and measures 4,792 mm in length while riding on a wheelbase of 2,789 mm. Interior packaging provides an 885-litre luggage compartment behind the rear seats, which expands to 2,090 litres after folding the second-row seats. The layout has been designed to offer increased practicality for everyday use as well as long-distance travel.
