Of the 21,439 electric vehicles with four wheels or more registered during the month, passenger vehicles represented nearly the entire category, while pickup trucks and vans contributed 210 units, buses 22 units, and trucks 48 units. The 21,159 passenger vehicle registrations included both private-use vehicles and vehicles registered for other purposes. The 106.9% year-over-year increase in passenger vehicle registrations highlights the rapid expansion of electric passenger mobility during July 2026 compared with the same month of the previous year.

Seven-Month Electric Mobility Registrations Exceed 144,000 Units

From January through July 2026, total electric mobility registrations in Thailand reached 144,181 units, representing growth of more than 77% year over year. Electric vehicles with four wheels or more accounted for 127,268 units, comprising 126,439 passenger vehicles, 488 pickup trucks and vans, 101 buses, and 240 trucks. Passenger vehicles increased 88.0% and included 124,162 private passenger vehicles and 2,277 vehicles registered for other purposes. Electric motorcycles added 16,883 units to the seven-month total, demonstrating that electric mobility growth extends across both passenger vehicles and two-wheel transportation.
