Tata Sierra.ev Launched in India With 510-530 km Range and Dual Battery Options

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited officially introduced the Tata Sierra.ev in India on June 30 with an introductory price starting at INR 1.88 million for the 63-kWh version and extending to INR 2.49 million for the 75-kWh model. Bookings opened on the launch date, while customer deliveries are scheduled to begin on July 15, 2026. Buyers can choose between two battery configurations, with the larger 75-kWh battery delivering a claimed C75 real-world driving range of 510-530 km.

The electric SUV is equipped with a dual-motor QWD powertrain generating 504 Nm of torque. According to the company, the Sierra.ev can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in around 5.8 seconds when boost mode is activated. Fast-charging capability enables approximately 263 km of driving range in just 15 minutes, while charging the battery from 20% to 80% takes about 26 minutes. Both battery variants are backed by a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, defined as 15 years for the first owner.

Built on Tata's Acti.ev+ dedicated electric vehicle architecture, the Sierra.ev features approximately 205 mm of ground clearance along with six terrain modes, including Snow, Mud, Sand and Rock Crawl, allowing the SUV to adapt to a variety of driving environments. The platform has been designed to support both performance and versatility while maintaining the capabilities expected from a modern electric SUV.

The cabin incorporates a triple-screen Theater Pro display setup, Dolby Atmos audio delivered through a 12-speaker JBL sound system, and a 19-visual HypAR augmented reality head-up display.
