The initiative is intended to improve last-mile transportation around the future terminal of the country's bullet train project while supporting the broader redevelopment of the surrounding urban area.

Glydways, a California-based mobility technology company in which Suzuki has made a strategic investment, has developed the proposed PRT solution. The system operates compact autonomous electric vehicles on dedicated guideways, allowing multiple passengers to travel on demand. Compared with conventional public transport infrastructure, the concept is designed to reduce infrastructure costs while delivering flexible and efficient urban mobility services for short-distance journeys.
