Skoda Kylaq Sportline Expands The SUV Line-Up
Skoda Auto India has expanded its compact SUV portfolio with the introduction of the Skoda Kylaq Sportline, priced at Rs 11,32,000 for the manual version and Rs 12,32,000 for the automatic variant, ex-showroom. The Sportline becomes the seventh variant of the Kylaq, joining the Classic, Classic+, Signature, Signature+, Prestige, and Prestige+ trims. The new variant focuses on giving the SUV a sportier visual character while retaining its existing mechanical package. The exterior receives black-themed styling elements, including black rear-view mirror housings, glossy black front and rear diffusers, a dual-tone floating roof, 17-inch black alloy wheels, black tailgate badging and a rear spoiler with finlets.
Sportline Adds Premium Cabin Equipment
The interior of the Kylaq Sportline follows the darker exterior theme with a black finish across the dashboard, roof lining and door panels. Equipment includes leatherette seats with contrast stitching, aluminium pedals, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging and an electric sunroof. The SUV also features automatic climate control, a 25.6 cm touchscreen infotainment system and a 20.32 cm digital instrument cluster. These additions strengthen the variant's equipment package while positioning it as a more visually distinctive and feature-rich option within the Kylaq range. The combination of comfort, convenience and styling upgrades is intended to give buyers an alternative to the standard trim configurations without changing the underlying powertrain.
Existing Turbo-Petrol Powertrain Retained
The Skoda Kylaq Sportline continues with the existing 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The SUV also retains its five-star Bharat NCAP crash safety rating and comes equipped with six airbags along with standard active and passive safety systems. This means the Sportline's differentiation is primarily focused on design, cabin equipment and variant positioning rather than a mechanical upgrade. For India, where buyers increasingly compare feature content and safety alongside performance, the combination allows the new trim to build on the existing Kylaq package while providing additional visual and convenience-focused appeal.
Lower Kylaq Variants Also Receive Equipment Upgrades
Alongside the Sportline introduction, Skoda Auto India has updated equipment levels on the lower Classic and Classic+ variants. Both trims now receive automatic climate control and a rear defogger, improving convenience without requiring customers to move to higher variants. The company has also confirmed that every Kylaq variant is covered by the Skoda Super Care ownership package. This package includes a standard four-year warranty, four years of roadside assistance and four labour-free scheduled services. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Skoda Auto India, said the Sportline adds emotional appeal to the range while the updates across other trims are intended to enhance value and provide customers with more reasons to choose the Kylaq.
