RIZON Electric Truck Service Combo Body Launch and Archion Production Network Restructuring

RIZON trucks continue to qualify for incentive programs that support commercial electric vehicle adoption. Eligible customers can receive point-of-sale vouchers ranging from USD 60,000 to USD 130,000 through California's Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) and Washington's Zero-Emission Incentive Program (WAZIP), helping lower the upfront cost of purchasing battery-electric commercial trucks.

The trucks are imported from Japan and are produced under the Archion Corp group. The company manufactures Class 4 and Class 5 medium-duty battery-electric trucks with gross vehicle weights ranging from 15,995 pounds to 18,850 pounds. The M-size model equipped with two battery packs delivers a driving range of up to 110 miles, while the L-size model fitted with three battery packs provides a maximum range of 160 miles.

On the same day, Archion Corp announced plans to restructure its truck manufacturing operations in Japan. The company intends to reduce its domestic production network from five facilities to three plants located in Kawasaki, Koga and Nitta by the end of 2028. This initiative forms part of an integrated platform strategy covering heavy-duty, medium-duty and light-duty truck production.

As part of the broader restructuring effort, Archion plans to integrate development, procurement and logistics activities across Hino Motors and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus. By reducing overlapping investments and improving operational efficiency, the company expects to free additional resources that can be directed toward the development of zero-emission vehicles and other advanced automotive technologies.
