Lumax Auto Technologies Limited has approved plans for the Lumax Auto Technologies Chakan plant in Maharashtra, involving a capital expenditure of approximately Rs 156.23 crore. The facility will be established under the company's Intelligent Ambient Comfort division to support new component supply orders secured from Mahindra & Mahindra. The investment will be financed entirely through internal accruals, while the completed facility is expected to achieve a peak annualized turnover of around Rs 440 crore. The second phase of the Chakan facility is scheduled for completion during the first quarter of FY 2028. The investment announcement came alongside Lumax Auto Technologies' financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. Consolidated revenue from operations reached Rs 1,363.62 crore, representing a 32.8 percent increase from Rs 1,026.37 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. Consolidated net profit also increased to Rs 98.64 crore for the quarter, compared with Rs 54.00 crore in the prior-year period.
