Lumax Auto Technologies Chakan Plant Investment And New Products

On August 10, the board of Lumax Auto Technologies approved the establishment of a new manufacturing plant for its Intelligent Ambient Comfort (IAC) Division at Chakan, Maharashtra. The Lumax Auto Technologies Chakan plant will involve a capital outlay of around INR 1.56 billion and will be funded through internal accruals. The project is intended to support new orders from Mahindra & Mahindra. Following commissioning, the facility is expected to achieve a peak annualised turnover of about INR 4.4 billion. Construction and commissioning will be undertaken in two phases, with the first phase targeted for Q4 FY 2027, ending March, and the second phase scheduled for Q1 FY 2028.
