Electric vehicle (EV) sales reached 11,983 units, representing a 2.9-fold y/y increase and setting a record high for July. EVs accounted for 3.4% of total passenger car sales, an increase of 2.1 percentage points y/y. The market’s EV expansion was supported by strong growth from Toyota Motor Corporation and Subaru Corporation, while more than 100 Racco mini-EVs produced by BYD in China were also registered.
