Honda expands motorcycle and scooter portfolio in India
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Portfolio Expansion 2025 marks the company’s announcement of an expanded portfolio featuring 10 motorcycles and scooters for the Indian market. The lineup includes seven all-new models and three refreshed models with new colour options. Select models will also receive Honda E-Clutch technology, which automatically controls clutch operation. The expansion covers cruising, adventure touring, roadsters, lifestyle-oriented riding, electric mobility and flex fuel mobility segments while supporting product development, engineering and manufacturing activities in India.
The expanded portfolio from Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India introduces products designed for different customer requirements. Honda ADV 160 is positioned as a city adventure scooter powered by a 160cc water-cooled engine and becomes India's first scooter to support up to E85 fuel. Honda QC3 is a smart family electric vehicle equipped with a 3-kWh battery, delivering an IDC range of 151 km and charging up to 80% in 2 hours 40 minutes.
Honda is also strengthening its premium motorcycle portfolio with new roadster and cruiser models. Honda CB 500 features a 501-cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with an oil cooler, targeting enthusiasts with global appeal and a torque-rich riding experience. Honda Rebel 300 is powered by a 286-cc liquid-cooled engine and will be available in Standard and E-Clutch variants. Honda Rebel 500 uses a 471-cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine and offers stronger mid-size cruiser capability for city riding and weekend touring.
The adventure motorcycle range includes Honda XR 300L and Honda XR 300 Rally. Honda XR 300L uses a 293.5 cc air-cooled engine with an oil cooler and is suitable for both on-road and off-road applications. Honda XR 300 Rally builds on the rally platform with a focus on long-distance trail touring and mixed-terrain travel, inspired by Honda's rally heritage. These models expand the adventure riding options available for customers in India.
The refreshed Honda CB350 range continues the company’s focus on lifestyle motorcycles with updated colour options for Honda CB350, CB350C and CB350RS models. The portfolio expansion reflects Honda’s approach to combining conventional engines, electric mobility solutions, alternative fuel capability and advanced riding technologies. The introduction of E-Clutch technology in selected motorcycles further enhances convenience by automatically managing clutch operation while maintaining the riding experience expected by motorcycle enthusiasts.
The upcoming models demonstrate Honda’s broader strategy to offer diverse mobility solutions across multiple segments. With scooters, electric vehicles, cruisers, adventure motorcycles and roadsters included in the portfolio, the company aims to address evolving customer preferences while increasing localization and strengthening manufacturing capabilities within the Indian two-wheeler ecosystem.
