Gotion and C&C Trucks Develop Heavy-Duty Electric Transport Solution
Gotion High-tech Co., Ltd. has partnered with Gotion High-tech Co., Ltd. and C&C Trucks Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Chery Commercial Vehicle (Anhui) Co., Ltd. and China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd., to develop a battery-electric heavy-duty transport solution. The solution is intended for applications such as in-mine transportation, short-haul port transfer, and short- to medium-haul resource transportation. The Gotion G-Current battery system, based on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology, can be integrated into the C&C Trucks Electric Qilin model.
Electric Qilin Combines 646 kWh Battery With Fast Charging
The Electric Qilin uses 646 kWh Gotion G-Current batteries and offers a driving range of up to 500 km. The vehicle supports 300 A single-gun charging and 600 A dual-gun charging as standard, allowing the battery to increase from 20% to 80% state of charge (SoC) within 30 minutes. Through dedicated electric-control calibration and regenerative braking, the vehicle achieves a 15% reduction in energy consumption compared with comparable models operating under short-haul, high-frequency conditions.
