Avatr Technology announced the launch of the Avatr 07L, a large 5-seat electric SUV designed for family buyers in China's highly competitive market. The model will officially launch at an event in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on August 8. Pre-sales started on July 17, with Max+ battery electric vehicle and Ultra tri-motor battery electric vehicle variants priced at 249,900 yuan and 279,900 yuan respectively. The vehicle is among the first models equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 driver-assistance system and a roof-mounted 896-channel LiDAR sensor. The LiDAR system is claimed to be the highest-specification LiDAR currently available in a mass-produced vehicle and can detect an object 14 centimeters high from a distance of 120 meters. The vehicle supports roaming cruise assist functionality and allows drivers to activate NCA assisted driving with one tap on any road without setting a navigation route.
