Named REMADE, the project brings together complementary technologies to establish a UK-based closed-loop supply chain for low-carbon anode materials. Nyobolt will contribute its ultra-fast charging battery technology, Altilium will provide advanced battery recycling capabilities, and Talga Group will apply its expertise in graphite processing. The participating automotive OEM will oversee project execution and support the integration of the developed technologies into future applications.
As part of the collaboration, Altilium will recover graphite and niobium tungsten oxide (NWO) from end-of-life electric vehicle batteries and battery manufacturing scrap. Talga Group will refine the recovered graphite into battery-grade material suitable for reuse in new batteries. Nyobolt will then incorporate these recycled materials into the production of ultra-fast charging, high-performance battery cells, supporting greater resource efficiency and lower-carbon battery manufacturing.
